ISG is powered by a team of dedicated and talented professionals who provide technology solutions. Many of ISG's staff are sub-contracted entities and accept contracted employment outside the scope of ISG services.

Wally Soares
ISG President

Wally coordinates all of the support services and product sales of the organization. He coordinates the referrals of clients to a number of technology specialists working for ISG. He also coordinates the purchasing of technology for the business and participates in the sales of devices for people with disabilities.

Valerie Miehlstein
ISG Vice-President
ASL/English Interpreter

Valerie participates in the support services and product sales of ISG. She has a great working knowledge of blind/low vision and deaf/hard of hearing assistive technology.

Valerie is often called upon to work with the more challenging situations requiring assistive listening and alerting devices. Valerie is a double nationally certified English/ASL Interpreter (CI/CT). She is a dedicated mother of an energetic girl, Iwalani Marie.

ISG Susan Licciardo
Office Manager

Susan coordinates the administrative office activities of ISG. She participates in the demonstrations of technology for customers and clients.

Susan is a locally classified English/ASL interpreter (HQAS 3) and accepts interpreting assignments through her business, SuSigns.

ISG Susann E.S. Lee
Clerical Support

Susann (pronounced su-zan’) participates in administrative office tasks including the demonstration of technology for customers and clients.

Mel Nakahara
ISG Technology Specialist

Mel is a longtime ISG technology specialist. He is often called upon to work with the more challenging situations, requiring in-depth assessments and the acquisition of spealized technology. He often works with ISG clients on the Big Island, but can be found on any neighboe island at any given time.

Mel was the catalyst in establishing the Assistive Technology User Group (ATUG), a group of people with disabilities who meet monthly to discuss technology solutions.

Jackson/Kalena Hayden - JET
ISG Technology Specialist

Jackson is a retired electronics engineer who offers years of experience in the practical application of computer, vision and mechanical technologies. His wife, Kalena, has classroom experience working with children with a variety of disabilities. Together they form JET (Jackson Enabling Technologies) to provide assistive implementation for ISG clients.

ISG Roger "Raj" Resuello
Technology Specialist

"Raj" called ISG looking for a new wheelchair and the next thing he knew he was working for ISG as a technology specialist! He is ISG's expert on the PC and many different peripherals. He is an A+ certified professional and has his Networking certification too.

Art Cabanilla
ISG Technology Specialist

Art is ISG’s expert on screen reading technology and magnification software. He focuses his training skills on ISG’s blind/low vision clients, and participates in the demonstration of various devices -- like the Voice Mate Organizer, Braille Notetakers, the i.d. mate II barcode reader, and Talking Cash Registers.

Art coordinates the AssistiveTechnology User Group (ATUG) which meets quarterly at ISG to share and show technology for people with disabilities.

Iwalani Marie
ISG Demo Princess

Iwalani is ISG’s inspiration to continue business ‘cuz there’s tuition to be paid!
