Art Cabanilla
ISG Technology Specialist

Art is ISG's expert on blindness products. He is a patient, gentle teacher of screen reading technology and other devices such as the BrailleNote and Pac Mate; Braille displays and embosser; and various portable reader devices. Also, the i.d. mate II Barcode Reader and the KNFB Mobile Reader.

Art coordinates the Assistive Technology User Group (ATUG) which meets quarterly at ISG to share and show technology for people with disabilites.

Wally Soares
ISG President

Wally coordinates all of the support services and product sales of the organization. He coordinates the referrals of clients to a number of technology specials working for ISG. He also coordinates the purchasing of technology for the business and participates in the sales of devices for people with disabilites.

Jackson/Kalena Hayden - JET

SG Technology Specialist

Jackson is a retired electronics engineer who offers years of experience in the practical application of computer and mechanical technologies. His wife, Kalena, has classsroom experience working with children with a variety of disabilities. Together they form JET (Jackson Enabling Technologies) to provide assistive implementation for ISG clients.

Mel Nakahara
ISG Technology Specialist

Mel is a longtime ISG technology specialist. He is often called upon to work with the more challanging situations, requiring in-depth assessments and the acquisition of specialized technology. He often works with ISG clients on the Big Island, but can be found on any neighbor island at any given time.

Mel was the catalyst in establishing the Assistive Technology User Group (ATUG), a group of people with disabilities who meet monthly to discuss technology solutions.

Valerie Miehlstein
ISG Vice-President
ASL/English Interpreter

Valerie participates in the support services and product sales of ISG. She has a great working knowledge of blind/low vision and deaf/hard of hearing assistive technology.

Valerie is often called upon to work with the more challenging situations requiring assistive listening and alerting devices. Valerie is a double nationally certified ASL/English Interpreter (CI/CT). She is a dedicated mother of an energetic girl, Iwalani Marie.

Jo-Ann "J.R." Rodrigues
ISG Office Manager

J.R. works closely with Wally and Valerie to perform various tasks and juggling acts related to small business operations. J.R. has also taken blind/low vision technology to the Big Island, working out of an office in the Captain Cook area. Call her; she is a CAN DO kinda gal!

Roger "Raj" Resuello
ISG Technology Specialist

"Raj" called ISG looking for a new wheelchair and the next thing he knew he was working for ISG as a technology specialist! He is ISG's expert on the PC and many peripherals. He is an A+ certified professional and has Networking certification too.

Iwalani Marie
ISG Demo Princess

Iwalani is ISG's inspiration to continue business 'cuz there's tuition to be paid! Actually, Iwalani is a tall, strong, energetic 9 year old -- a vegetarian from birth. She is involved in tap dance, ballet, and cheerleading. She also plays the piano.
